The Wi-Fi over IP company
Anyfi Networks AB is a privately held company located in the south of Sweden. In mid 2006 we posed ourselves the question: why invest billions of dollars in beefing up cellular networks for mobile data when there are Wi-Fi networks with plenty of spare capacity everywhere? In 2009 we launched a novel broadband operator concept, Myfi.net, with the ambition to use the spare capacity of a fixed-line broadband network to build a mobile Wi-Fi network in an area of central Malmö. It was during this project that we first realized that Wi-Fi could be combined with IP, Internet Protocol, to create a mobile broadband technology with unprecedented device support and ease of use. This discovery led to the development of our patent pending Wi-Fi over IP technology.
The company is owned by its founders and advisors and part-financed by ALMI Skåne.
